Class Description

Glass Fusing Wind Chimes March 29 10am - 12noon 2 hours in the studio with Deanna Smith creating lovely glass fused wind chimes - teen and adults. Come make cheerful fused glass art items created by your own hands. You will be guided in glass cutting techniques and design ideas. Each student will have approximately 8” x 8” of space in the kiln so wind chimes will have 4-6 pieces. Please wear closed toed shoes. Beginners welcome! All tools and glass provided and this workshop is recommended for 14yrs+ or 12yrs+ if accompanied by an adult. Bring your mom, daughter, or a friend! Space is limited. Fine Details: Glass Fusing is creating fused glass art with melting glass through heating in a special glass kiln. The process of snipping, cutting, sanding and applying colored glass to create a personal piece of art is addicting. Students work under the guidance of the wonderful Deanna Smith. Studio will fuse and return 2-4 weeks later. Open to all skill levels, no previous glass art experience is necessary. Limited space to 8 participants.
